Christian Education

The Christian Education Ministry team is responsible for organizing and planning the educational programming and schedule of the church.


  • Coordinates Christian Educational Activities for children and youth.

  • Maintains records of children, youth & families who participate in Christian Education Activities.

  • Christmas Pageant (Annual event)

  • Easter Egg Hunt (Annual event)

  • Confirmation Class (Bi-annual event)

  • Children and Youth Sundays

  • Provides information for Friends website and Christian Education brochure as needed.

  • Submits information for the monthly newsletter e-Connection, and special events to the weekly Midweek at Friends email.

  • Submits a report to Deputy Moderator of Programs for monthly Church Council meeting.

  • Provides a summary of activities to Programs for the Friends Annual Report (due in June). 

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Teach or co-teach a Sunday School class* (no experience necessary!)

  • Serve as a substitute teacher (on-call list)

  • Participate in annual events such as Christmas Pageant, Easter Egg Hunt, Confirmation Class
