About the Event
Please plan to attend this special viewing of the documentary Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, hosted  by the Brazos Valley African American Museum and St. Andrew’s Episcopal  Church. This Emmy nominated film follows the DeWolfe family as they  discover their ancestors’ history as leading slave traders in Rhode  Island. The event and sharing period are led by a member of the family  portrayed in the film. Friends Church is partnering with St. Andrew’s  for this special event held at The Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, 6-9:00PM on September 27th. A free dinner will be provided by What’s the Deal Barbecue.
All are welcome. Our goal is to become better  acquainted with one another and with our shared history. We will not  deny the painful truth of slavery and the slave trade, and we will also  not engage in blame or shame. Free ticket required and seating is  limited. To register, visit www.episcopalhealth.org/events/ and select the Traces of the Trade Tour 2022 Bryan.
