Maundy Thursday Worship

On Thursday, April 1, Friends Church observes Maundy Thursday virtually with a special service at 7:30pm via Zoom. United online despite physical isolation, we will remember the story of Jesus’ final night with his disciples by observing the sacrament of Holy Communion and the ritualistic act of foot-washing (or hand-washing). The service will remember the Passover and Christ’s last night with his disciples through Scripture readings that tell the story, offerings of music, and prayer. At the conclusion of the service, to commemorate Jesus’ betrayal the sanctuary will be stripped.
