Friends Ministries

Serving Others thru the church minitries

Work with the Pastor and the Minister of Music to plan weekly & special worship services.  Other special items include;

The Christian Education Ministry Team is responsible for organizing and planning the educational programming and schedule of the church.

Primary programs that fall within this scope are;

  • Annual Sunday school
  • Summer Sunday school
  • Vacation Bible School.

The Justice and Missions Ministry will extend the work of the Church to the community and the world through education on social justice issues and service projects and offerings.  Some of the current items are;

Facilitates small groups and opportunities for personal spiritual development.

The Nurture Committee supports individual members during times of struggle or joy. The Nurture Committee’s purpose is to assure that all Friends Congregation members, friends, staff, and children feel cared for and supported by our community of faith.

 

Here are some of the things we do to nurture our faith community;

The Evangelism Ministry leads and equips the congregation in reaching out to visitors and the community to share in the life of the Church. The Evangelism Ministry is responsible for community visibility of the Church.  The purpose of the evangelism ministry is to develop and coordinate community awareness of Friends Church.   This ministry works closely with Worship and Nurture to insure adequate welcoming and communications with new members and guests.
